This is a synopsis for a commercial service. This announcement constitutes a synopsis only. This procurement is a small business set-aside. The Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supply and labor to provide prescription eyeglasses, F.O.B. Destination within the consignee's premises, to the following VISN 22 Department of Veterans Healthcare faclities: VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Long Beach, CA, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Los Angeles, CA, VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, Loma Linda, CA, VA San Diego Healthcare System, San Diego, CA, VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, Las Vegas, NV. The intended contract will be for a base period of one year with the government having the option to extend the contract in one year increments for four (4) one year option periods. The solicitation issue date will be on or about 16 September 2002 with proposals due October 7, 2002 (4:00PM Pacific Daylight Savings Time).
