Provide scarce medical specialist healthcare resources services for perfusionist services at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, for a period of one (1) year from date of award of contract. Perfusionists shall be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Services to be provided are IABP, LVAD, Cell Saver (Cardiothoracic Cs) and Cell Saver (Non-Cardiothoracic Cs). Perfusion services will be provided seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day. A perfusionist will be required for on-call duty after regular business hours Monday through Friday and from 6:00PM Fridays until 6:00AM Mondays and on Government holidays. The expected response time for perfusion services should not exceed 30 minutes. The anticipated issue date is on or about March 22, 2002.
