Synopsis: Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 17, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed priced one (1) year service contract, with two (2) option years, to Aesynt Inc., formerly McKesson Automation Inc., for procurement of the following services: 001: PakPlus-Rx® Services. The Contractor shall provide on-site PakPlus-Rx® packaging services. The Contractor shall provide personnel, consumables and technology to over-wrap and bulk package the medications through the use of the on-site Robot-Rx® dispensing system. The packaging technician is responsible for packaging all unit-dose medications required for daily dispensing. The packaging technician will prepare and maintain the Robot-Rx® equipment for daily use, perform general equipment troubleshooting, maintain optimal medication inventory levels and identify any customer concerns to the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR). Market research performed on the services did not reveal any other procurement source. Any interested firm that can provide these services is encouraged to respond to this notice by a response or capability statement. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties must respond to this notice by 25 February 2014 to be considered for future competitive actions.
