The National Institutes of Health, (NIH), Office of Research Services, Division of Safety intends to negotiate with DynCorp Biotechnology and Health Services, 2000 Edmund Halley Drive, Reston, Virginia 20190-3426 on a sole source basis in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The NIH intends modify the existing Contract 263-98-C-0008 to provide funds to extend services for a period of twelve months. This extension remains within the present scope of work. The emergency medical treatment of work related illnesses and injuries and other services provided in the operation of the Occupational Medical Services Clinics are essential for the health and safety of NIH employees and guest workers. It is imperative that the Government maintain a reliable source for these services. The closing date will be for forty-five days from the date of publication. See numbered note 22.
