The Department of Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Health Care System plans to issue a Request for Proposal to obtain nephrology and other services. The contractor shall provide board- certified or eligible physicians in Internal Medicine with the subspecialty of Nephrology to the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System (VASHNHC) in Reno, Nevada. Services include the full range of nephrology medical and/or surgical care for inpatient VA beneficiaries including consultation, diagnosis, therapy and treatment, and prognosis of patients with nephrology disorders. In addition, nephrology services include patient care for inpatient and outpatient VA beneficiaries at the VASNHCS facility in Reno, Nevada. Other services include inpatient consults and teaching and night/weekend call. NAICS code 621111 applies with a size standard of $10.0 million. This solicitation will be an unrestricted acquisition. The contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract and is expected to include a one-year basic period, with four one-year options. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA-261-09-RP-0025. The Solicitation will be issued o/a 12 November, 2008, with an anticipated proposal due date of December 3, 2008.
