Response to Vendor Questions
MSPV RFI VA119-14-I-0151
1. Question: Section 8 VA119-14-I-0151 asks - How many commercial medical/surgical supplier agreements does your company currently have on file, and how long are those contracts on average?
Is the government asking to identify the number of commercial contracts currently in place for the identified options listed or which are normally negotiated?
Answer: The VA is asking to identify the number of contracts where your company is obligated to provide medical/surgical equipment and supplies, and (on average) what is the typical contract period. Your company's response(s) allow the VA to better determine the amount of capacity that commercial medical/surgical manufacturers/suppliers/distributors have and to identify commercial best practice with regard to typical contract duration periods for these products. Information gathered will be considered during the development of a potential statement of work that is in line with US commercial industry.
2. Question: If we have multiple divisions (duns) numbers, should our answers reflect the division/duns servicing the VA business (MedSurg), or should it be total?
Answer: Respondents to this RFI should use the DUNs associated with their company that provides medical/surgical equipment and supplies and a manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or under any other typical business operating structure. DUNs information will be used to help identify the average viability of businesses operating in this commercial sector.
