The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for consultation services for examination and interpretation of heart transplant biopsies to include light microscopy, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy. The duties of the pathologist shall include but are not limited to: examination and interpretation of all patient slides on transplanted heart biopsies by light microscopy, examination and interpretation of immunofluorescence slides stained with the following antibodies (HLA-DR, FITC-Mouse IgG, IgM, C3c, fibrin, C4d, C3d, albumin, and other stains and controls deemed appropriate.
The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 622111.
