The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a requirement for cardio thoracic surgery services at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) Bethesda, MD, and any branch clinics within a 60-mile radius of the center. This will be a sole source bridge to contract N62645-01-D-5022 to extend services of the firm-fixed price, personal services contract. Award will be made to Cardio, Vascular, & Thoracic Surgery Associates on a firm-fixed price contract. Services are required for the period 01 August 2006 through 30 September 2006. Cardio, Vascular, & Thoracic Surgery Associates is the only known contractor that can provide the two-month contract with health care workers who have been privileged to work at the aforementioned sites. The lead-time required for an alternate contractor to recruit and hire a replacement staff, submit Individual Professional Files for each health care worker and for the sites to complete the privileging process does not exist prior to 01 August 2006.
