The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a fixed price sole source task order to The Boeing Company to procure multiple obsolete subcomponents within the Processor Peripheral Component Interconnect Express Mezzanine Card (PXMC), under Contract N00019-16-G-0001. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Boeing Company is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the PXMC card; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort. 


This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers.  This synopsis is provided for information purposes only.  A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the United States Government.
