NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate and issue a sole source award for the purchase of Versant HCV Amplification and Genotyping LiPA Kits and Versant LiPA Consumables listed below with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc, Norwood, MA.

LiPA Kits and Consumables:
LiPA Scan Reading Template Sheets, 25/bx
LiPA Strip Tray, 25/bx
Versant HCV Control 2.0 kit LiPA
Versant HCV Amplification 2.0 kit LiPA
Versant Genotype 2.0 Assay kit LiPA

The anticipated delivery date will be 30 days from the award date. Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc., is the only source to provide Versant HCV Amplification and Genotyping LiPA Kits and Versant LiPA Consumables compatible with the Versant System within the critical timeframe deemed necessary by CDC. CDC intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Subpart 13 procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement.
