The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to purchase the following laboratory supplies. Title of Project: Purchase of Sample Introduction Systems and Consumables. Current need is for six sample introduction systems for inductively coupled plasma dynamic reaction cell mass spectrometers (ICP-DRC-MS) to upgrade existing instrumentation in the laboratory. Various consumables are also needed for these sample introduction systems and the equipment with which they will operate. The new sample introduction systems will allow for faster sample analysis time (SC-FAST), increased sensitivity (PC3-cooled chambers), and improved precision (SC-FAST and polypropylene nebulizers). Purchase of additional consumables to be kept on hand as spares allows for quick and easy replacement as they reach their life expectancy or become otherwise unusable in the laboratory.
