The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404, for the MagMax Express 96 and accessories (deep well plate and Express 96 tip comb for DW magnet). This equipment will be used for diagnostics in Hemorrhagic Fever viruses at field stations, in conjunction with existing Applied Biosystems systems already at CDC. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
