This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Based on response to the initial advertisement for this requirement, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates award to a small business for purchase of six Dell Power Edge servers, three PowerEdge R620 with made-to-order specifications, another PowerEdge R620 server with a different specification, and two PowerEdge R820 servers with made-to-order specifications. These are the only servers authorized by CDC's Information Technology office for use in CDC systems, and are covered under GSA pricing. These specifications are attached and are as provided by Dell. for those who had questions about the specifications in the initial advertisement, these are corrected copies and should clear up any difficulties. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335111. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. Vendors shall be registered at SAM.gov. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
