This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE Commercial Buy under the authority described at FAR Part 6-602-1 - Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to acquire 3 sets of Crime Lites in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Office of Forensic Science. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to: Foster and Freeman 46030 Manekin Plaza Sterling, VA 20166 The proposed contract action is for supplies, under NAICS Code 334519, for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), DOD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized supplies when it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agencys requirements (See 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B)). This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government Contracting Officer.
