The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a competitive Firm-Fixed price contract for twelve (12) Purchase Cable and Reel Assemblies of Part Number 524631-3 (NSN: 1680-01-622-2665) in support of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Landing System.

The required Purchase Cable and Reel Assemblies are Critical Safety Items (CSIs) and therefore it is the Navy's intent to pursue a limited competition between the following vendors whom are qualified to provide these CSIs:

The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 332618. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The limited number of responsible sources listed above are the only companies known that can meet the agency's need for the Purchase Cable and Reel Assemblies in support of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Landing System.. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
