Synopsis: 43d Contracting Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina intends to award, on a sole source basis in accordance with 10USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, a contract to ICX Technologies, Air Logistics Center II, Forest Park, GA 30297 for purchase of three (3) Mobile Cerberus Surveillance Systems. This system plays a key role to the security forces capability to provide mobile, detection and imaging sensor system which is required at Pope AFB, due to terrain and weather conditions. CAMELEON  Proprietary software and sensors, detect and identify chemical, biological, radiological, nuclar and explosive threats. CAMELEON Tactical (software)  allows for the open architecture which controls basic systems requirements to control cameras and manage video. CERBERUS is currently used on Ft Bragg for long range surveillance and can be adapted in conjunction with Pope AFB, if the situation warrants the requirement. Cerberus is currently being utilized at forward deployed locations, and is being purchased by the DOD for other military installations for its unique software CAMELEON and long range tactical sensors. This mobile system is tower based and can be affixed to a trailer or skid-mounted onto existing USER trucks. This is not a request for Competitive Proposals. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. NAICS Code is 561621. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide this requirement, you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet the requirement. If no affirmative written response is received, this acquisition will be awarded without further notice.
