The Psybhological Intervention/Consultation Services program will meet the needs of high risk offenders with extensive substance abuse histories. Treatment readiness and motivation is the focus of the interventions. This evidence based intervention is structured to address one or more of the factors identified as a particular challenge to an offender’s successful reentry and long-term recovery from substance abuse. These factors may include psychiatric distress, substance abuse, cognitive impairments, protracted withdrawal, poor attachment/social bonding, and extensive criminality. Psychotherapy services is provided by a trained and licensed Psychologist who uses evidenced based interventions to change behavior and dysfunctional thinking. This psychotherapy must be intense, cognitive behavioral evidence based interventions designed to reduce the likelihood of reoffending
