Supply:    The Air Force intends to issue a sole source award to ION CORPORATION for the purchase of Information Technology related software to include:  PSEU-10 ITA Updated Drawings and Meeting Support; PSEU-10 ITA Aluminum box used in conjuction with ATLAS software; and PSEU-10 D38999 Series I, II, or III connector cables  The estimated award date is 24 JULY 2009.  The NAICS code for this requirement is 334417 with a size standard of no more than 500 employees.  THIS PURCHASE IS SOLE SOURCED TO ION CORPORATION TO UPGRADE EXISTING EQUIPMENT WHICH WAS PURCHASED FROM ION CORPORATION AS A RESULT OF A PREVIOUS SURVEY.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.  Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, all informational proposals will be considered within 10 days after the publication of this synopsis.  A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Authority is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1).
