Provo City is soliciting bids on the construction contract known as the Provo Airport Terminal Area Development Project, located at the Provo Airport in Provo, Utah. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the Provo City Public Services Office, located at 1377 S. 350 E. Provo, Utah 84606, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids received after 2:00 p.m., as conclusively established by the clock at the Bid opening location, will not be accepted. The work generally includes the following: Construction of approximately 34,000 square yards commercial airport apron including placement of approximately 68,000 cubic yards of granular fill, 150,000 cubic yards of surcharge material, 8,000 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course, 12,000 tons of asphalt base course, and 34,000 square yards of 15 inch-thick concrete pavement. Project also includes placement of approximately 60,000 cubic yards of embankment, 35,000 cubic yards of surcharge material, and 50,000 cubic yards of granular sub-base material for the terminal building footprint, parking lots, and access loop road. Construction for this project is expected to take 210 calendar day(s).
