NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has a requirement for analysis of samples for lipid classes and fatty acids for the purpose of determining the amount and type of lipids and biomarkers in juvenile crab and Arctic cod. Information of the lipid classes and fatty acids in fish and crabs are required for a number of ecological and essential fish habitat studies. Lipid analyses requires the use of thin layer chromatography with flame ionization detection with a (TLC/FID)MARK V or MARK IV Iatroscan.

The entire solicitation is attached. Interested firms shall provide, in writing, a brief narrative (no more than 4 pages in length) and documentation to support your firm's capability and experience meeting the requirements herein.

The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 541690 with a size standard of $14M.

The government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract with period of performance commencing approximately from date of award through Jan 31, 2016 with no option period. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within ten (10) calendar days of its publication.
