SDRC seeks to develop a home that will be used as a Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) and house 4 regional center clients. The home that is purchased and renovated by the HDO will be leased to a service provider who will provide the needed supports to the individuals who live in the home. The service provider will be selected through a separate Request for Proposal process. Start-up funding: $500,000 for the acquisition of the home, $500,000 to renovate the home to meet the needs of the individuals who will live there. The service provider will support four individuals with moderate to severe cognitive impairments who have severe behavior challenges and some health needs. The individuals are presently living in a developmental center or at risk of entering one. The funds available are up to $150,000, which will be deferred to FY 18/19. The service provider will support four adolescents with autism and severe-mild cognitive impairments who cannot be supported in typical level 4 facilities due to their challenging behaviors.
