This is a combined synopsis/solicitation procurement action for the successful contractor to provide National Marine Fisheries Services (NMFS) AK Region with professional services to investigate whether Cook Inlet beluga whale diet has changed through time using stable isotope technique per the attached statement of work in the request for quotes (RFQ) NMFS AKR-14-0911 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541690 and is not a Small Business Set-Aside.


The objective of the contract between National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the successful contractor is to provide professional services to investigate whether Cook Inlet beluga whale diet has changed through time using stable isotope (carbon and nitrogen) techniques. Teeth and bone collected from Cook Inlet belugas are available from NMFS, private individuals, and museums for analysis in accordance with the statement of work, terms and conditions contained in the attached RFQ NMFS AKR-14-0911.

NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
