The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority ("Authority") seeks proposals from firms or individuals (“Respondent”) to provide Professional Seasonal Decoration Services, which include but are not limited to design, rental, installation, testing, maintenance, repair, de-installation and transportation for the Authority's seasonal decorations collection at the San Diego International Airport (“Airport”). Proposals shall propose interior and exterior seasonal decorations schemes which will adorn the facilities of the San Diego International Airport during selected holiday seasons. Respondents will be tasked with using some or all of the Authorities existing decorations inventory in addition to providing Contractor owned seasonal decorations and rental decorations to create a seasonal theme for the general public who are traveling through the San Diego International Airport (“Airport”). Themes must be approved by the Authority prior to implementation and shall mix décor, flavors and other thematic elements to reflect the multi-cultural and global diversity of the San Diego region. Respondent may also be tasked with storing the small number of decorations owned by the Authority. All proposed seasonal decorative items must be durable and low maintenance. Respondents must take into consideration public safety for both children and adults and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Decoration locations shall be primarily pre-security, with additional opportunities post-security, as determined by the Authority and other Airport stakeholders. All proposals must also consider the limitations that exist within the areas of the Airport, including but not limited to door openings, ceiling heights, hallway widths, electrical outlets, existing structures, and high traffic areas. A draft scope of work is posted in Exhibit A of the Draft Agreement included with this RFP. INFORMATION ONLY, in addition to the small number of decorations that the Authority owns and will be required to be integrated into the design plans required by this RFP, the Authority also currently owns a large amount of seasonal ornaments that will be Auctioned in the month of April. A list of items to be auctioned will be provided to any interested party. The Auction will be held by Ken Porter Auctions.
