SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. No solicitation is available. This notice is released pursuant to FAR 15.201(e), Exchanges with Industry.

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) is seeking to identify sources with the capability to provide the following trades for Production Support:

-          Shipfitter

-          Sheetmetal

-          Welder

-          Fire Watch

-          Outside Machinist

-          Marine Electrician

-          Pipefitter

-          Shipwrights

-          Painter

-          Weight handler

-          Temporary Electrician

-          Temporary Pipefitter

 These services shall be performed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The anticipated period of performance is comprised of one base year and two to four option years with performance commencing approximately 01 February 2018. Interested sources will provide qualified personnel capable of performing the typical tasks identified by trade for the twelve (12) trades as listed in Appendix (A). Requirements will be requested by PNS at any time during the period of performance of the contract and issued on a task order basis. Interested parties must be able to provide qualified personnel for all twelve (12) trades. Interested parties that cannot provide qualified personnel to meet all twelve (12) trades can provide positive response on those trades that they could support. A notional estimate of man-days is provided in Attachment A. Interested parties must be able to meet the entire man-day estimate. The NAICS code for this requirement is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing.

This sources sought is a market research tool being utilized to determine potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP). Therefore, all interested parties are encouraged to respond.

In accordance with FAR 15.202(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.

 Only responders who meet the following criteria should respond to this sources sought notice:

1.      -Meets specifications outlined in the attached document

2.      -Has an active CAGE Code with the Central Contractor Registration.

3.      -Does not appear on the Excluded Parties List

Responses should include the following information:

1.     - Responder’s contact information including company name. P.O.C. name, telephone number, fax number, email address, street address, CAGE, and TIN

2.     - Individual Trade Qualifications and Certifications, including any potential subcontracting arrangements or partnerships

3.     - Previous Contracts Performed for Similar Scope of Work
