The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a firm fixed price contract to McDonnell Douglas Corp., a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company, for the procurement of approximately twenty-six (26) to thirty-six (36) Harpoon All-Up-Round missiles in tactical, exercise, and training configurations for various FMS countries, as well as related equipment, spares, services and documentation. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Requests for written information will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Harpoon missile and is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, technical data and equipment, facilities and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe.
