The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced purchase order to Texas Health Institute located at 8501 N. Mopac Ste 420, Austin, TX 78759-8341. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302; 4202 Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Governments requirements. The core tasks and minimum contractor requirements will include: 1)Through the Summit, the contractor shall promote multi-stakeholder approaches to obesity prevention at all levels. Approximately 400 participants will be registered to participate from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Missouri. 2)Conduct a series of State conference calls prior to the event and providing support following the event. 3)Provide scholarships to local public health and community based organizations to advance their roles in informing state and federal level policy processes. 4)Prepare and provide a summary report of the proceedings and findings of the Summit.
