The FHWA Western Federal lands Highway Division located in Vancouver, WA is seeking qualified contractors to develop methodology to assess risk of climate change on new and improved transportation roads, highways and bridges due to variability in flood frequency and rainfall intensity. The qualified consultant should have the following qualifications:
⢠Integrated multidisciplinary group with focus on stochastic hydrology, infrastructure risk assessment, and effects of climate variability on regional hydrology.
⢠Experience in risk assessment for infrastructure including nuclear facilities where climate variability and probabilistic assessment are conducted.
⢠Experience in assessing risk due to variability in rainfall intensity and flood frequency.
⢠Experience in life-cycle cost analysis and value analysis to compare best alternatives.
The study cost estimate is $100,000 - $200,000
