DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 611430.

The following course will be procured:
Description of Course
Radar principles, systems, techniques, phenomenology and the basics of radar technology. Deliver up-to-date examples of modern radar systems, including microwave and millimeter-wave and their applications. Understand antennas, transmitters, receivers, clutter and noise, detection, signal processing, waveform design, Doppler techniques, resolution, multipath and reflectivity measurements.

Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is September 23, 2008. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 2:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, September 23, 2008. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
