The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition a preventive maintenance contract for a Becton Dickerson Biosciences LSR II. Becton Dickerson Biosciences is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Becton Dickerson Biosciences Fortessa Equipment and they do not have any authorized third party repair vendors. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who are certified by Becton Dickerson Biosciences as authorized third party repair vendors may submit a proposal showing their capabilities and past performance repairing this type of equipment. The vendors shall provide certification from OEM that they are authorized to perform these services and have access to OEM parts and supplies. All responsible sources may submit a response that will be considered. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and replacement parts must be compatible with existing equipment.
