The annual service contract will include the following: Items (1) Bruker System ID BH069800, AV TwinBay 2 Channel 800, CryoPlatform, no serial number, Item (2) Probes Accessories CP TCI 800S6 H-C/N-D-05Z part/serial number Z44909/00037.
The service contract is for a twelve month period; with period of performance 1August 2011 thru 31 July 2012.
The sole source determination is based upon the fact that the equipment is manufactured by Bruker BioSpin and due to the proprietary design of the cryogenic probe attached to the spectrometer only Bruker Biospin is authorized to provide a service agreement.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219, and Size Standard $19.0 Million is applicable to this requirement. The Small Business set-aside does not apply.

The resultant acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13, simplified acquisition procedures and the resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-52 May 31, 2011.
