***** Sole source determination is based on the need to conduct preventative maintenance on NIST's EOSINT M270 manufactured by EOS of North America. The vendor must be able to provide unlimited phone support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to phone support, the vendor must be able to conduct on-site hardware repairs with a response time of 24-48 hours. Finally, the vendor must conduct two (2) preventive maintenance visits.

The maintenance visit shall include preparatory checks of the machine, checks of machine electronics, checks and cleaning of process chamber unit and components, checks on the recoating system, checks on the building, dispenser, and collector systems, checks on the process computer and control software (PSW), checks on the pneumatic system, checks on the laser and optics (of primary importance are measuring the power curve in the building area as well as the focus monitor measurement), and checks to the machine frame. Additionally, checks shall be done on the machine peripherals including the wet separator, cooling system, and the recirculating unit. Finally, a demonstration build job will be completed to ensure the machine is functioning correctly.

EOS of North America, Inc. is the only company authorized to perform preventative maintenance on EOS products.

****** A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
