THE SOLICITATION AND ITS RESULTANT CONTRACT ARE ISSUED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM OF THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY DEVELOPMENT REFOREM ACT OF 1988. Presque Isle Peninsula is located on the southern shore of Lake Erie in the City of Erie, Pennsylvania. The Presque Isle Shoreline Erosion Control Project was authorized by the 1986 Water Resources Development Act. Professional photogrammetric mapping, related surveying and GIS services. All mapping work will be performed using precise photogrammetric data acquisition, mensuration, and compilation procedures, including all quality control associated with these functions. The work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the photogrammetric mapping criteria contained within the contract. The aerial photography to be made under this contract is being used to compile a historical record of the ongoing sand nourishment program at Presque Isle Peninsula and measure areas of critical erosion and shoreline changes resulting from the offshore breakwaters. In addition to the traditional aerial photography, orthophotography will be compiled to give a more accurate method of monitoring the shoreline erosion.
