NMRC DENGUE VIRUS – NON-HUMAN PRIMATE STUDY
The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) is posting a pre-solicitation notice for a Dengue Virus Non-Human Primate Study for the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC). The contractor shall provide sera from 30 animals to NMRC for pre-screening, of which 16 animals approved by NMRC will be placed under the protocol. The contractor is expected to prepare an animal use protocol in consultation with NMRC and achieve approval of the protocol by the contractors IACUC. The proposal will then be submitted to NMRC for Government review and approval. The contractor shall then execute the study per protocol and complete all vaccinations, virus inoculations and blood collections as scheduled.
This study is considered extramural research and must be conducted in an AALAC accredited animal facility and in compliance with all DoD regulatory requirements.
The period of performance for this study is anticipated to be 18 months from the date of award.
The solicitation is expected to be posted o/a 17 August 2017. The anticipated award will be a sole firm fixed price contract. Award will be made by 30 September 2017.
This is not a small business set aside.
NAICS Code is 541712 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 will be used for this requirement.
