REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)
The Government is submitting a Request for Information (RFI) for contracted Prescribed Burning Services at the Dare County Bombing Range, NC. This market research is to determine the approximate cost to perform prescribed burning on approximately 10,360 acres, mop-up and other related services in compliance with the terms, specifications and provisions described within the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, materials, tools, expendable items and equipment necessary to perform the work as described in the attached SOW. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications of the contract. The Government is looking for a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) on the cost for performing the above services over a period of performance starting 1 Oct 11 to 30 Sep 12. This RFI should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a requirement, a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort expended in responding to this request. The Government will not reimburse contacts for any cost(s) incurred for participation in this market research. This not a request for proposal nad no award will be made.
