CLIN 0018 P/N PHAND-CUTPH, Handle-Cutaway Release-PHAT Daddy Tube Style, Color: Yellow, Fabric: Cord 1000, Quantity 5 each.

These items are to replace the aging equipment for the Navy Parachute Team "The Leapfrogs".  Sun Path Product, Inc. manufactures the Parachute Harness/Container, Javelin Odyssey and subcomponent, i.e, deployment bags, risers, ripcords, etc., and currently owns all proprietary data rights and drawings.  It would not be cost effective if  sought other sources because would incur additional cost and schedule delays.  The additional cost and schedule delays are due to the testing process required to certify the parts and components provided by contractors currently not making Parachute Harness/Container, Javelin Odyssey components Authorized for Navy Use (ANU).  This equipment is currently the only fielded items to the U.S. Navy Parachute Team "The Leapfrogs".
