The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to McNaughton-McKay Electric Co., 1000 Newman Rd., New Bern, NC 28562 (cage code 0CFH4) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract for three (3) each Powerflex 753 Drive System, 125HP Amps; three (3) each Powerflex 753 Drive System, 50 HP, 65A and three (3) each Powerflex, 15HP-PFDC Drive System Spare Part Kit manufactured by Allen Bradley. Allen Bradley maintains the proprietary data on requested drive systems. McNaughton-McKay is the authorized distributor of Allen Bradley. McNaughton-Mckay provides operational data, technical support, and on-site start-up. Therefore, the government intends to procure these direct replacement parts on a sole source basis from McNaughton-McKay Electric Co.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
