The 802d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Research and Diagnostic Systems, Inc. (R&D) to purchase Porcine Quantikine Elisa Kits. R&D Elisa Kits were used in previous tests. Therefore, the use of this specific kit will keep the integrity of the study that is evaluating hemorrhagic shock resuscitation in swine. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 25 September 2013. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements.
