DHHS, SUPPLY SERVICE CENTER, PERRY POINT, MARYLAND, intends to award a contract to Applied Biosystems Inc. for the purchase of sixty two (62) each ABI 7500 FAST DX real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Systems, Part number 4406984 at $59,310.00 per each, totaling $3,677,220.00 plus handling of $34,720.00 totaling $3,711,940.00.  Deliveries will be made on demand to each laboratory across the country.  This is proprietary equipment including software and is available from Applied Biosystems Inc., 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA   94404.  See numbered Note 22
