This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract using commercial item acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Parts 12 and 13. The equipment listed below will be used by the Government of Guatemala –Civil National Police for efforts relating to the Department's international narcotics and law enforcement program. The equipment is manufactured by Lafayette Instrument Company, intended to upgrade the existing equipment already in place in Guatemala: 6 - LX-4000 SW; 6 - LX-1055 Carrying Case with wheels; 6 - 76878US Activity Sensor pad; 6 - LXSPANISH C-Poly Software Spanish language 6- 76513RK Pneumograph Repair Kit for 76513-1G 76513-2B 6- 76871 Adjustable Subjects Chair THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS; this acquisition will be processed using the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b). See note 22 with the exception that the time period for receipt of quotations for consideration is 15 days instead of 45 days. Solicitation is not available at this time. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to change the acquisition strategy. A response to this notice does not legally bind the government in any manner. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
