This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplier or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Lafayette Instrument is the only manufacturer and seller of the Model No. 76879S Activity Sensor Pneumatic Type Seat. The above Model Activity Sensor Seat is the only model that will work in conjunction with the FBI's current Lafayette Instrument systems. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 334519. A quote is being solicited under Request for Quotation (RFQ) 317312. This requirement is for a One Time Buy, Firm Fixed Price. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Based on the market research, it has been determined that Lafayette Instrument is the only source available to meet the FBI's requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
