This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service:

The Edgewood Chemical Biological Forensic Analytical Center (EC/B FAC) is an ISO17025 accredited analytical laboratory providing a broad range of chemical analysis and related research and development to DoD and DoJ entities. The EC/B FAC is an FBI partner laboratory and a US Designated Laboratory for the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), an international community overseeing Chemical Weapon Convention compliance. The analytical equipment addressed in this contract is part of the analytical instrumentation suite of the EC/B FAC and is kept under service contract to ensure its functionality at all times. This is non-personal services contract to provide routine preventive maintenance and as-needed repair of Bruker Dimension Icon Atomic Force Microscope, and associated peripherals. Hardware is to be repaired on an "as needed" basis.

The intended period of performance for the above mentioned service is for a base year and two option years of service.

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Bruker Nano, Inc. 3400 E Britannia Dr. Ste 150, Tucson, AZ 85706-5010. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard is $20.5M.

All responses received within twenty business (20) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed requirement will be based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
