In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement.  VA Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems intends to negotiate a sole source sward with Roche Diagnostics Corporation, located at 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN  46256.

Roche Diagnostics Corporation shall provide:  Full-Service Maintenance for Ventana Laboratory Equipment BenchMark Ultra.  The unit requires repair and maintenance by trained personnel using manufacturer approved parts and specifications which only Roche Diagnostics Corporation can provide. Another firm would not be familiar with the proprietary updates and rationale of the design, not be able to accurately address requests for Information, or accurately maintain this equipment, which is critical for proper research and development. 

The anticipated period of performance is 11/01/2020 to 10/31/2021, with four, one-year option periods, with service to be provided at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Pittsburgh PA 15240.

The NAICS code for this procurement is 541690, 811219.  The size standard $15/$20.5 million.

Interested parties that can meet the capabilities and requirements, may identify their interest and submit capabilities. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements, must submit information about their capabilities no later than 15:00 PM EST, 09/04/2020.  All information shall be provided at no cost, or obligation to the Government. 

No solicitation will be made available. Information must be sent to the Contract Specialist, [email protected].  Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Roche Diagnostics Corporation.
