The USDA Agricultural Research Service at Kimberly, ID is seeking bids for a plot harvester for silage corn.  The minimum requirements for the harvester are:
1.  Row-independent forage harvester
      *48 inch (1/25M) nominal working width
      * 3 point hitch mounted to the front of the tractor
     * Extension pipe for dischange spout to reach the sample collection system mounted on the rear of the tractor
     * Hydraulic spout control
2.  Forage collection and sampling system
     * Weighing hopper with electronic weighing device and data collection system.
     * Sample taker to remove a representative subsample of harvested material from the hopper.  Subsample volume should be adjustable.
    * Trailing or 3-point hitch mounted to the rear of the tractor.
     * Working platform with operator seat.
     * Blower or similar system to transfer harvested aterial to a trailer.
