The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requires a subscription service that provides both historical and current information and analysis about nuclear power plants, emerging technologies, nuclear commerce, spent fuel and uranium mining, and the economic impact of regulatory activities. S&P Global Inc. (Platts) is uniquely qualified because it is the only subscription service that can provide Inside NRC, Nucleonics Week, and NuclearFuel publications. Platts also provides the NRC with access to archives of these newsletters dated back to 1996. If the NRC does not subscribe to Platts newsletters, the agency will no longer have access to these services. Platts holds the copyright to these newsletters and has confirmed there are not authorized resellers for Nucleonics Week, Inside NRC, and/or NuclearFuel. Therefore, S&P Global Inc is the only source that can meet the NRC's requirements.
