SOLICITATION NOTICE:

The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Platte Point Restoration project for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Empire, MI.

Providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for restoration of the Platte River mouth (Platte Point), a coastal/riparian environment situated at the outlet of the Platte River into the western shore of Lake Michigan. Since 1968, river dredging has resulted in accumulation of dredging spoil piles that have altered the natural flow of the river and associated dune topography and ecosystems. Reshaping and reconfiguring the riverbank and neighboring dune areas are intended to restore Platte Point to a pre-dredging condition.

PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000

TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract.

Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Benzie County, MI will apply.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237990, and the size standard is $45 million. This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses.
