The United States Department Of Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) intends to make a sole source award to Invitrogen, Grand Island NY. for the production and development of Taq Platinum Polymerase (5000U) produced by Invitrogen. Reagents produced with another vendor's polymerase without a re-optimization and evaluation would result in reduced performance of the reagents this would be unacceptable to the agencie that employ the current reagents in ongoing operations. Â
