PROJECT DESCRIPTION Location: 400 Front St. Placerville, CO 81430 Length of Structure: 39’ Width of Structure: 23’ Square footage: 960 The San Miguel County Parks & Open Space department is seeking qualified bidders to paint the entire exterior wood surface of the historic Placerville Schoolhouse, 400 Front St. Placerville, CO 81430. The project will include all preparations necessary to paint the exterior, and protect the nearby amenities. It will NOT include the exterior deck, wood benches or purple storm windows on the west side of the building. The contractor must match the existing two-color scheme, as close as possible to existing conditions. Contractor must also provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the job. Painting must be completed by October 27, 2023. San Miguel County requests proposals include: ? Power wash or brush all exterior surfaces, surfaces must be clean prior to painting ? Sand or wire brush all chipping paint on window sills, trim, siding and exterior ? Extra care should be taken to protect the garden surrounding the building ? Caulk big gaps, cracks and problem areas ? Spot prime all problem areas, with exposed wood surface, prior to painting ? Protect glass windows, storm window hardware, window screens, metal roof, bell, doorknobs and all other fixtures prior to painting Paint all the storm windows, except the purple storm windows on the west side of the building- one coat of quality latex paint to match existing color Paint all exterior surfaces including window sills, siding, soffit, trim, doors, storm doors, baseboard between deck stairs and bell tower- one coat of quality latex paint to match existing colors Clean up after project completion, the schoolhouse should be in visitor ready condition Note: Does NOT include the exterior deck, wood benches or purple storm windows on the west side of the building.
