CITY OF ALBANY PICKLEBALL COURTS Bids due at 2:30 p.m., (Pacific Time), Tuesday, February 18, 2020 INVITATION TO BID ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $303,800 The City of Albany hereby extends an invi tation to submit bids for: PK-20-01, Pickleball Courts: This project includes the demolition of existing tennis courts at Linn Benton Community College, construction of a new Pickleball Court at the same site, installation of lighting, addition of fencing, installation of a water fountain, and related appurtenances. A Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the Calapooia Room, at City Hall, 333 Broadalbin Street SW, Albany. Following the meeting, a site visit will be held at the LBCC tennis courts. Bids submitted shall be filed in sealed envelopes and received at the City of Albany Parks & Recreation counter, not later than 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2020, addressed to the attention of Diane Murzynski, Purchasing Coordinator, at Albany City Hall, Finance Department, 333 Broadalbin Street SW, Albany, OR 97321. The outside of the envelopes shall plainly identify: (1) the project name, (2) the bid opening time and date, (3) the bidder's name, and (4) the contractor's license number (per ORS 701). Immediately following the filing deadline, the bids shall be opened and publicly read in the Santiam Room of City Hall. Bid totals will be posted on the City's website at https://www.cityofalba ny.net/finance/purchasing/bids. Contract bid documents may be examined at the Parks & Recreation Department, City Hall, 333 Broadalbin Street SW, Albany, Oregon, 541-917-7778; downloaded from the City of Albany website at https://www.cityofalbany.net/finance/purchasing/bids or a printed set may be purchased for $35. It is imperative those who download the contract bid documents check the website regularly for addenda, clarifications, and other pertinent notifications. All who are known by the City of Albany to have received a complete set of the contract bid documents will receive notification when additional items are posted. Each bidder must have access to a current set of City of Albany Standard Construction Specifications, which can be found on the City's website at https://www.cityofalbany.net/standard-construction-specifications or a printed set may be purchased for $100. All public improvements are required to conform to these specifications and bid prices shall reflect these specifications. All City contracts contain a statement declaring that the bidder agrees to comply with the provisions of ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 regarding payment of prevailing wages. The City's contract contains a clause which incorpo rates by reference all of the provisions of ORS Chapter 279C which are applicable to public contracts. Bidders are expected to be familiar with these provisions including, but not limited to, recent changes to ORS Chapter 279C. No bid shall be received or considered unless the bidder is licensed by the Construction Contrac tors Board for construction projects or licensed with the State Landscape Contractors Board for land scaping projects. A 10% bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall accompany each bid on all projects and shall be forfeited if the bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the City of Albany within 10 days after the date of the Notice of Award.
