Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with PerkinElmer Health Science, Inc. located at 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT, 06484-4750. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) has a requirement for maintenance and repairs from Perkin Elmer of various equipment such as Spectrum 100 FTIR Oil Analyzer, which includes TECAN Liquid Autosampler, Elan9000 AS93 PLUS Autosampler, Poly Science Re-circulator, and TurboMatrix 40 Headspace Sampler. These instruments have unique designs and unique/proprietary parts or firmware/software that only a properly trained technician can service correctly. Perkin Elmer does not authorize third-parties to service their instruments, they have their own service technicians in-house. The period of performance is for a one-year period. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a size standard is $20,500,000.00 Dollars. Award for this requirement will be accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
