The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to negotiate solely with Perkin Elmer LAS, Inc., located at 710 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484-4794, to obtain maintenance support of the following equipment: Mecury Analyzer, AA Instrument, AS90 Flame Auto-sampler, AS91 Flame Auto-sampler, Flow Injection, Polyscience Chiller, Optima5300DV, S10Autosampler, Analyst 200, AA Software for AA200, S10Autosampler, Flame Autosampler, AA300 Software, Optima 7300DV Conentric, Chiller-6106PE Lovw Noise 60HZ, ICP Software for Optima7300DV, and AA Fias400 Sotware.

The equipment is proprietary to Perkin Elmer LAS and Perkin Elmer is the only known source which can provide the required service to the current requirements. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements Citation: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The period of performance will be for a 12 month base period. The vendor shall send a technician to perform service within 1 to 2 business days of maintenance service. The vendor shall respond within 24 hours for emergency service and provide services after regular business. This requirement is not for new service it's for continuous maintenance service on existing PerkinElmer lab equipment that is currently under warranty.

This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of this solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond within five (5) calendar days from the date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide the proprietary services and 3 years of past performance related to the service. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to announcement #901636. If no viable responses have been received in response after Wednesday, May 09, 2018, 5:00 pm E.S.T to this announcement, USDA/FSIS shall negotiate solely with Perkin Elmer.
